Himeji Castle Loophole Maze

Himeji Castle Loophole Maze

This narrow path leads to the castle’s keep. It get narrower than closer to the gate it gets. The loopholes on the left wall allow the defenders to attack invaders from a save spot. Storming these defenses would have led to a blood bath. No wonder that Himeji castle never got attacked that way.
